There are around 15 different types of visas in Chile, such as the retirement visa, the investor visa, the student visa, several types of work visa, but also more specific visas like the religious visa or the pregnancy visa. During the initial consultation, we review your situation and make a recommendation.

The review process of the Chile immigration service takes 3 to 6 months at the moment. You shall also consider 1 to 2 months to collect the required documents, based on how fast is the administration in your country of origin.

There is no requirement to speak Spanish to get a temporary visa in Chile.

There was a huge change in 2022, due to change of the immigration law (the previous law was from the 80s). We do not expect a major change in the year to come. The immigration service can decide to modify the visas types or the required documents. In case there is a major policy change, they usually consider it for all applications starting from the date of new policy.

Yes. You can apply for permanent residency after two years if you qualify. If not, you have to renew your temporary visa once and wait a bit more to apply for permanent residency.

Yes and No. Chile does not discriminate amongst applicants. Yet, visas have of course requirements that shall be met for you to be approved.
